  • Save the Date and Call for Participation: 3rd Annual SOA in Healthcare Conference, Presented by OMG and HL7 International
    OMG? and Health Level Seven® International (HL7) today announced that the third annual "SOA in Healthcare: Improving Health through Technology: The role of SOA on the path to meaningful use," conference will be held July 12-14, 2010 at the Westin Arlington Gateway, in Washington, D.C.     Health Level Seven® International (HL7®), the global authority for interoperability and standards in healthcare information technology, today announced that it has published the Version 2.5.1 Implementation Guide for Electronic Laboratory Reporting to Public Health (as also specified in HITSP's Interoperability Specification IS01). The implementation guide is directly related to the initial set of standards and certification criteria interim final rule issued earlier this year by the Department of Health and Human Services.

The current standard for genetic test results is either paper or electronic narrative reports.
