This report covers the HL7 Working Group Meeting in San Antonio, Texas -May 7-12, 2006. The working group meetings exist to provide a forum in which to discuss, ballot, and vote on inclusions into the HL7 health communication standard.
The WGM was also attended by a large group from HL7 Australia. NZHUG members with complementary interests might consider contact with these individuals an opportunity to increase the weight of Australasian input in the developing HL7 standard. Attending from HL7 AU were Brett Esler (Templates) , Dick Harding (Pathology), Peter MacIsaac (Terminology, Terminfo, Community Care), Chris Lynton Moll (Compliance and Certification) David Rowlands (EHR) and Klaus Veil ( Patient Administration, HL7 Board)
